Aster x 'Kylie'
Aster
Plant Type:
SUN PERENNIALSAster x 'Kylie' (syn. Symphyotrichum) - Lovely light pink disks with honey and candy violet centers create a comely display on an upright bushy plant. 'Kylie' is the child of the pairing between Aster novae-angliae 'Alma Potschke' and A. ericioides 'White Heather'. Leaves are small, matte-finsihed light green blades appearing as the leaves of the New England Aster dwarfed by the influence of its other parent, Heath Aster. Handsome in the late season garden 'Kylie' will draw bees and butterflies alike. Feed the pollinators as it is crucial to a healthy habitat. 'Kylie' will be nicely paired with late season Soldago, other asters, mums, Joe-pye Weed, Ironweed and fantastic with late and very late daylilies. A stand set before any shrub or shrubs with berries and autumnal colored leaves would be a rich pairing... viburnums come to mind. Established potted perennial from division or cutting.
