Stems are upright and may lean slightly away from the plant's center making for a loosely vase-shaped form. Pale yellow greenish-white flowers stud stems in summer. These may give way to red autumn berries while the green feathers turns bright golden yellow. Not only softening contrast in a garden situation Asparagus schoberioides makes terrific cut stems in flower arrangements. And it may be used as a houseplant and stems are reported as being edible. Site in part to full sun planted in fertile, draining soil. Established pot grown by division.
