Anemonopsis macrophylla ''double-flowered form''

False Anemone

Plant Type:

SHADE PERENNIALS

Aneomonopsis macrophylla "double-flowered form" – Bluish lavender double flowers dangle on purple-black wiry stems. They are delicate, florid and dance in late summer breezes. Flowers age to white. This is an especially rare form of a choice Japanese woodlander, it prefers fertile soil consistently moist in a moderately sheltered situation. We imported these from Japan. Plant Aneomonopsis macrophylla in part to full shade. Established potted False Anemone from division.

It is imperative that gardeners understand their USDA planting zones. If you are purchasing a plant or plants in the autumn shipping window it is your responsibility to know whether or not the plant is appropriate for fall planting in your zone. Generally we caution that plants at the northern end of their climate range are best considered for spring planting so they have a chance to settle in and grab hold to their new environs. If you purchase a tricky plant now and it perishes in the winter please understand that we will not take responsibility. If you are uncertain be prudent, wait until spring.
