Sempervivum 'Grammens' – is a large-growing beauty. In winter this Hens and Chicks picks up a rich dusky purple shade. During the growing season it is a complex lilac, golden-brown (especially noticeable in wet, cloudy weather) with a concentration of deep red-purple at the tips plus a mix of gray, green and green-blue in varying lights and at different times of the growing season. It is a most beautiful and richly colored member of the Crassulaceae. Site 'Grammens' in a garden spot in which it may be viewed and appreciated in all seasons. Plant in well draining soil mixed with grit for sharper drainage. 'Grammens' is a moderate increaser with a clumping habit. Full sun. Grown from offsets, “chicks”.
