Inkberry

Plant Type:

BROADLEAF EVERGREEN SHRUBS

Ilex glabra 'Allen Haskell' - This rare Inkberry, named for Allen Haskell, is a compactly growing form cloaked in narrow lance-shaped dark glossy green leaves. As it is a female form it will produce black inky berries. This Inkberry came to us with the moniker 'Alan Haskell'; however, we believe this to be in error as the renowned nurseryman's name was definitely Allen. Site in full sun to part shade in fertile moisture retaining soil. Best to prune it down every several years to maintain a tighter, bushier shrub. Cutting grown.
