Geum rivale 'Coppertone'

Plant Type:

Geum rivale 'Coppertone' - Pastel golden apricot double flowers on bronze-purple-green stems up to 12 inches tall are just plain lovely in the cottage garden or perennial border. Each flower measures 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter. The flowering event depending upon where you reside can be from mid spring to early summer. This gentle Avens will blend or contrast nicely with more intensely hued flowers. It would be especially well-employed with pastel lavenders or any pastel color, deeper blue-purples with bright and deep yellows, golds and scarlet. Yummy! Typical serrated green leaves are on the coarse side of the scale but not unattractive when contrasted with fine grasses or quite bold foliage. Fertile, draining soil in sun for this easy natured perennial. Established pot grown division.
