Plant Type:

Baptisia x 'Twilite Prairieblues' (PP19011) – Big 2-quart pots filled with established plants sporting multiple eyes at a crazy low price - a bargain. Got a big project? We've got 14 available. Dusky violet-purple florets, each with a pale lemon-yellow keel appear in late May and bloom for weeks into the middle of June. Each inflorescence has the potential to stretch up to 32 inches! Flowers mature to a deeper violet-purple over blue-green foliage that remains attractive throughout the growing season. This beautiful and robust selection made by Dr. Jim Ault at the Chicago Botanic Garden can produce up to 100 stems on a mature plant. Though an herbaceous perennial the dramatic presence of Baptisia in the garden is shrub-like in affect. Full sun in average to fertile, draining soil. Drought tolerant. Big pots, big plants will arrive cut back if ordered in autumn.
