Japanese Wild Ginger

Plant Type:

SHADE PERENNIALS

Asarum takaoi 'Galaxy' – This little beauty comes from Japan with 2-inch spade-shaped hearts of heavy-textured leaves adorned with silver markings. 'Galaxy' will slowly form a dense, evergreen ground cover in the fertile, humus-rich conditions in which it thrives. Some morning sun is acceptable for Japanese Wild Ginger but this is a shade loving species. In the northern parts of its climate range it might be wise to plant in spring. Established pot grown division.
