Asarum caudatum f. alba
Wild Ginger
Plant Type:
SHADE PERENNIALSAsarum caudatum f. alba – is a lovely ginger native to western North America. Our stock is grown from a single plant which we purchased from Dan Hinkley’s Heronswood many years ago. Lustrous rounds of typical ginger foliage under which the odd yet beautiful whitish-green flowers with three elongated sepals. They are wonderfully fragrant smelling of earthy ginger. This beautiful northwest native will make a handsome ground cover in humus-laden, draining soil sited in shade. Division.
