Scarborough Lily

Plant Type:

BULBS

Cyrtanthus elatus (ex: Seneca Hill) – is the well-known Scarborough Lily, sometimes referred to as the George Lily. Relatively large red amaryllis-like flowers occur in later spring/early summer but there may be some free-flowering. It is a welcome candidate in a cool greenhouse or on a windowsill in full to part sun. This wonderful member of the Amaryllidaceae performs well in a fertile, organic soil that retains moisture; keep the Scarborough Lily drier in the winter. Potted bulbs - full burstin' pots.
