Crinum x 'Fragrant Lady'

Crinum Lily

Plant Type:

BULBS

Crinum x 'Fragrant Lady' - This beautiful white hybrid with a very showy array of lily-like flowers in the outline of a large, rounded dome set atop 3-foot stems. 'Fragrant Lady' is a rare hybrid with one of her likely parents being Crinum abyssinicum and her other parent up for speculation. Tall blades are polished green. As implied in the name the beautiful summer trumpets are sweetly perfumed. Full sun in fertile, draining conditions. Crinums are one of a handful of plants that give us zone envy. But they perform very well for us in containers. In pot culture winter dry is prerequisite. For gardeners towards the northern end of its range spring planting is strongly advised. Established pot grown offset.
