Asparagus schoberioides - This is soft, lovely and similar in look and use to A. pseudoscaber 'Spitzenschleier', just smaller in size. Stems are upright and may lean slightly away from the plant's center making for a loosely vase-shaped form. Pale yellow greenish-white flowers stud stems in summer. These may give way to red autumn berries while the green feathers turns bright golden yellow. Not only softening contrast in a garden situation Asparagus schoberioides makes terrific cut stems in flower arrangements. And it may be used as a houseplant and stems are reported as being edible. Site in part to full sun planted in fertile, draining soil. Established pot grown by division.
