This species sports glossy green leaves that are leathery and evergreen for us in northeastern Connecticut. It's easy, tough and an excellent ground cover in dry shade. It's a clumper with moderate increase - happy in dry shade and very drought tolerant once established. Get it established and then forget about it! Established potted Barrenwort by division.
