Epimedium pinnatum subsp. colchicum – This evergreen Barrenwort displays large sunny yellow flowers in spring that glow in the shade garden. This species sports glossy green leaves that are leathery and evergreen for us in northeastern Connecticut. It's easy, tough and an excellent ground cover in dry shade. It's a clumper with moderate increase - happy in dry shade and very drought tolerant once established. Get it established and then forget about it! Established potted Barrenwort by division.
