Arisaema fargesii

Jack in the Pulpit

Plant Type:

BULBS

Arisaema fargesii - Farge's Cobra Lily is a knockout in the woodland garden. Each large wine-maroon spathe is striped with white clay. The maroon spadix emerges and sticks out like a child's tongue from the center of the flower below the flower's hood which gracefully descends as it narrows to a point. The bold tri-lobed leaves are enormous - almost tropical looking and stand up well in the summer garden. It's a surprisingly easy species despite its extraordinary exotic looks. Pot grown bulbs or bare root are of flowering size.
