Agave americana 'Medio-picta Aurea'

Plant Type:

Agave americana 'Medio-picta Aurea' (ex: Jonathan Lehrer) - 5 available. This is basically the reverse variegated form with a flame of creamy yellow in the heart of each succulent leaf encompassed by broad margins of blue-gray. Great potted plant in the north. Draining soil with some fertility and added lime in plenty of sun. Keep it drier in winter. Why aren't more folks growing these??? ...They're incredible! Pot grown offset.

In regards to autumn planting: Generally we caution that plants near and at the northern end of their climate range are best considered for spring planting so they have a chance to settle in and grab hold to their new environs. If you purchase a tricky plant now and it perishes in the winter please understand that we will not take responsibility. If you are uncertain be prudent, wait until spring.
