Pinellia tripartita 'Purple Party Dragon'
Purple Dragon
Plant Type:
SHADE PERENNIALSPinellia tripartita 'Purple Party Dragon' - QGN exlcusive. Green leaves are brightly splashed and streaked with irregular zones of sunny yellow. These are the foil for purple spathes... it's a purple party dragon sitting on the sofa and holding in the toke for too long! Spathes on rare occasion may exhibit some variegation on the outer hood. Leaves are usually a mix of green and yellow in endless patterning; some leaves arise a complete plane of bright lemon yellow. And there may be some solid green leaves... we pinch 'em out. Spathes are a darker shade of red-purple and a showy contrast to the variably variegated leaves. We also pinch of the seed heads because the seedlings will most usually not come true. Party on. Party in fertile ground in dappled sun, early morning sun or open shade. 'Purple Party Dragon' is offered by pot grown offset.
