Carex platyphylla - Blue Satin Sedge makes a dense blue tousled mound composed of broad blades, glabrous and glaucous. Specimens vary: some plants are greener, some bluer. Ours is a clone from a typical blue plant found growing near our barn at Quackin' Grass. Site in fertile, moist soil in an open, dappled or morning sun exposure. Established potted sedge from division.
