Pennisetum alopecuroides 'Hameln' – This, the oldest cultivar of Fountain Grass, is more dwarf growing and earlier blooming – beginning in midsummer, the inflorescences remaining for months. They emerge with a pinkish to pink-violet cast and mature buff over narrower foliage that arches ever so gracefully. Site ‘Hameln’ in sun planted in fertile moisture retaining soil for best performance where it will form a long blooming clump. Established potted plant from division.
