Heuchera villosa 'Autumn Bride'
Coral Bells
Plant Type:
SHADE PERENNIALSHeuchera villosa ‘Autumn Bride’ – Multitudes of green felted maple-like leaves within a domed form look fresh and clean all season long. White spires like tall, narrow bottle brushes arise and flower September into October. This is a selection of the straight species which hales from southeastern parts of the U. S. It has deer resistance, drought tolerance, hardiness, withstands hot muggy climates and is simply a terrific late blooming perennial. H. villosa is also much in the focus as one of the parents to increase the palette of hybrid plants with a broad spectrum of foliage colors and sizes. This tough selection won’t melt down in the summer humidity and heat along the eastern seaboard of the U.S. Site in open shade to part sun as do so many Coral Bells. Plant ‘Autumn Bride’ in well-drained woodland conditions or average garden soil. Heuchera villosa is clumping with gradual increase. Established potted perennial by division.
