Rudbeckia fulgida v. deamii - Disease, pest resistance and strength are the hallmarks of this strain of Black-Eyed Susan. Golden daisies with a brown black button cone are a very good source for pollinators. Leaves are somewhat hirsute as are flowering stems. These begin their reign during the hottest arc of the growing season continuing well into the late season. Content in average draining ground; wet feet is an anathema. A meadow plant for sure it is also a comely companion to later daylilies or in the mixed perennial garden. It should be included in the intentional pollinator garden. These will self sow and form a weed suppressing cover if allowed. Fully to mostly sunny exposure. Established potted Balck-Eyed Susan from seed or division.
