Veronica austriaca 'Ionian Skies'

Austrian Speedwell

Plant Type:

SUN PERENNIALS

Veronica austriaca 'Ionian Skies' - Lovely light blue flowers open atop green to gray-green leaves from late spring to midsummer. Leaves are small lances and many of them under the canopy of blue Veronica flowers. To maintain a tighter, denser display cut it down by half after flowering. This will be a fine addition to the sunny border or island garden. Once established this pretty perennial is an easy plant in full sun and average soil. It will tolerate some shade but don't push it: best performance will be had in more sun. Deer and rabbits don't like it. Yeah yeah - I know: "they're so CUTE!!" Never as cute as when they're in my stew pot. Established potted Austrian Speedwell from division.
