Zelkova serrata 'Goshiki'

Japanese Zelkova

Plant Type:

TREES

Zelkova serrata ‘'Goshiki' is a slower, smaller variegated form of Japanese Zelkova. Elm-like green leaves are stippled with creamy white with a concentration of white at the margins. The bark on Zelkova serrata is somewhat cherry-like in youth becoming increasingly mottled and interesting. The tree form is upright and vase-shaped, always a handsome element in the winter landscape. 'Goshiki' will make a great specimen or contrasted with Japanese Maples of any outline with purple foliage. Site in full sun to part shade planted in any fertile to average soil that drains. Cutting grown.
