Convallaria keisukei

Asian Lily-of-the-Valley

Plant Type:

SHADE PERENNIALS

Convallaria keisukei - This rarely offered Asian Lily-of-the-Valley displays broad, pristine white spring bells on stems which may rise up to 12 inches. Oftentimes stems may bow and arc with the lovely bells all-a-dangle. As well-known as Convallaria keisukei is as deliciously fragrant and perhaps even more so than the better known Convallaria majalis; the perfume wafting from Japanese Lily-of-the-Valley tops the charts! Continuing this rare perennial's interest is the production of the bright orange "berries" from middle to late season, very similar to its more famous cousin. Convallaria keiskei will eventually make a formidable ground cover composed of handsome green blades. Good bee plant with excellent deer resistance. This is a really fine easy-care perennial with practical yet ornamental application in fertile, moisture retaining soil in part sun to open shade. Established pot grown division.
