Arisaema candidissimum f. album - Jack-in-the-Pulpit from Quackin Grass Nursery

Arisaema candidissimum 'Album' - This version of the Chinese Jack-in-the-Pulpit displays a pure milk- white spathe. The spadix is light green. The outer base of the spathe is striped light olive green and white. As much as I love the species Chinese Jack-in-the-Pulpit flowers that are pink and white, 'Album' is pristine, alluring and undeniably superb. As with its sibling 'Album' is a late riser and doesn't show here until middle-late June or early July, sooner down south. Big tri-lobed tropical looking leaves unfurl while the spathe is enchanting us. The foliage looks good for most of the summer. Another common name is Striped Cobra Lily. Neither of the common names do justice to this exquisite aroid. This, oh, so pretty Arisaema will tolerate not only more sun but somewhat drier conditions than its fascinating cousins.
