Cyrtanthus breviflorus

Plant Type:

BULBS

Cyrtanthus breviflorus (ex: Seneca Hill) – this would be the petite form as described by Ellen Hornig of Seneca Hill. The bright yellow flowers, each composed of six petals with several flowers per stem, bloom as glossy green strap-shaped foliage emerges. It has been perfectly hardy on the south side of our home several feet away from the foundation. Cyrtanthus breviflorus is clumping with very slow increase. But it’s beginning to increase in numbers in its well-behaved manner. Site Cyrtanthus breviflorus in full sun planted in fertile well-drained soil. It’s thriving for us. Potted bulbs or bare root.
