Silene uniflora 'Druett's Variegated' - This variegated Bladder Campion forms delicate 4 to 5-inch mounds composed of simple, tiny green to gray-green leaves sporting broad margins of white. When first emerging each little oval leaflet may glow with a bit of gold but age milk-white. Globes of buds may be flushed with a bit of pink as may leaf petioles. The white flowers are relatively large, to one-inch, standing above the sea of leaves. Easy to please in full to part sun in average draining soil, between stones or at garden's edge it will never fail to delight. The species travels to us from Europe though 'Druett's Variegated' is an English selection. Established Bladder Campion from division or cutting.
