Persian Parrotia

Plant Type:

TREES

Parrotia persica 'Lamplighter' – Beautiful variegated leaves with irregular strings, broader bands of cream and lighter sage green patches are among the many salient features of this outstanding somewhat weeping form of Persian Ironwood. Autumn foliage can be pink, red and purple-infused adding to the show. Somewhat slower than the species due to the lack of chlorophyll it will take longer to settle into a garden situation. It is marvelously typical in all other aspects! Site in full sun planted in draining slightly acid fertile soils. Cutting grown.
