Lysichiton camtschatcensis - Spring spathes are white with a yellow spadix, as tall as 16 inches and are striking. Asian Skunk Cabbage is also commonly known as White Skunk Cabbage. Glossy leaves are oblong and bold growing from 20 inches to as big as 39 inches. As this plant emits no offensive odors it appears the skunk was spayed. Dappled to full, open shade in moist to boggy conditions. This bold perennial hales from Kamchatka Peninsula, Kuril Islands, Sakhalin and northern Japan. Established pot grown from seed or offset.
