Yellow Waxy Bells

Plant Type:

SHADE PERENNIALS

Kirengeshoma palmata - 1 remaining in a true 1-gallon pot. Yellow Waxy Bells is a wonderful mid-late to late season perennial with large pale yellow waxy bell-shaped flowers hanging in open clusters from the tops of the stems. The flowers are showy, 1 to 1.5" long. Maple-like palmate leaves with 7 to 10 lobes occur in an opposite arrangement. The plant is variable in height, very much dependent upon the tenor of the procession of the growing season. Yellow Waxy Bells has been a plant of easy disposition for us. Kirengeshoma palmata looks fantastic with late season monkshoods and Sanguisorba. It prefers a fertile moisture retaining soil sited in open shade, dappled light or in morning sun. Divison or cutting grown.
