Isopyrum (syn. Enemion) biternatum (ex: Jerre Dawson) – is the False Rue Anemone with small attractive columbine-like foliage and milk white five-petal flowers with yellow anthers in spring. The foliage emerges with a purple to bronze infusion maturing green. The foliage remains good looking all through the growing season. Belonging to the Ranunculaceae, site it as the understory woodland plant it is planted in fertile soil. Clumping with slow increase. Ours is set in rich soil in morning sun and is very happy. Division.
