Geranium maculatum 'Hazel Gallagher'
Cranesbill
Plant Type:
SHADE PERENNIALSGeranium maculatum ‘Hazel Gallagher’ – 'Hazel Gallagher' is a lovely pure white flowering version of the common muddy pink roadside cranesbill seen blooming in May from Manitoba, east to Maine in a wide swath towards the south. This easy-going perennial geranium looks terrific with other shade lovers and oh, so worthy in the woodland garden; the clean, cool white flowers light up above a foil of typically paw-like medium to dark green leaves. ‘Hazel Gallagher’ has some drought tolerance once established. And a percentage of white flowering plants come true from seed; to maintain a pure white population simply immediately pull up any that bloom pink. Plant in part to open shade in draining soil. If ordered in our fall shipping window Hazel will have been put to bed for the coming winter - I mean cut back and dormant! Established potted Cranesbill grown from division.
