Gentiana makinoi 'Marsha' PP16562 – True deep electric blue bottle gentian flowers set for weeks atop stems and just demand attention from midsummer into autumn. Foliage is glossy dark green and attractive all through the growing season. Down south this marvelous and relatively easy-to-grow gentian may be nearly evergreen. The glowing blue gentian flowers set in clusters at the tops of stems like old-fashioned Christmas lights. Plant this marvel in the cottage garden, sunny perennial border or the rock garden in fertile, draining soil in more sun than not.
