Arisaema thunbergii - Asian Jack-in-the-Pulpit from Quackin Grass Nursery

Arisaema thunbergii - Spathes are amazing: the long, black whip-like tail emerges from the peak of each matte-finished ebon hood. The vase of each spathe is dusky red-purple. The fat white spadix is in dramatic contrast. Foliage is fingered 11 to 15 in number set in a virtual peltate pattern like spokes radiating from the top of each stem, almost claw-like. Leaves are dark green and lustrous. This Asian Jack-in-the-Pulpit will want fertile but draining soil - it can be grown a bit drier than many of its cousins. Fabulous.
