Thalictrum kiusianum – ​​This small Meadow Rue has typical columbine-like foliage tinted bronze purple upon emerging, becoming blue green as it matures. Summer lavender flowers for a long season stand about 1” above the mats of foliage. The Kyoshu Meadow Rue is a really cute, tiny growing perennial spreading slowly by stolons. It’s small enough and is sweet in a trough, pot or rock garden where its delightful attributes can be appreciated. Site in open shade to part sun planted in any decent soil that drains.
