Series: Maiden Grass

Miscanthus sinensis 'Andante'

Plant Type:

GRASSES & GRASS-LIKE PLANTS

Miscanthus sinensis 'Andante' – A beautiful introduction from Kurt Bluemel reported to be among his favorites if not the personal favorite. Each narrow green blade sports an electric silver stripe down the middle. Leaves arch giving this fine Maiden Grass a most casual appearance, something approaching a fountain. Then from late summer into the autumn the inflorescence erupt in a riotous display of creamy buff-white tasseled “feathers” which when backlit by autumn sun glow like a fiber-optic orgy. Plant in full sun in average to fertile ground. Established pot from division.
