Darmera peltata f. nana (ex: Hinkley) – is a dwarf form of Indian Rhubarb that I purchased from the original Heronswood Nursery. It is approximately one-third the size of the species with round, bold handsomely scalloped leaves about 8” to 10” in diameter. Leaves may display a broad, gentle undulation. Fleshy flowering stems emerge before the foliage growing to 15” sporting clustered red buds opening to a lollipop of pale pink florets that quickly fade to white. Slowly spreading. Site in part sun to open shade planted in rich, moist soil. Division.
