Adonis amurensis 'Flore-plena'

Amur Adonis

Plant Type:

SUN PERENNIALS

Adonis amurensis ‘Flore-plena’ – is a fully double form of Amur Adonis with clusters of golden yellow semi-glossy flowers which erupt from the ground in late winter or early spring like an earthy bouquet. Each flower is about 1 inch or so in diameter. This one blooms about 10 to 14 days after the single species. It’s very beautiful. Other than its later emergence and its double flowers it behaves just as do its brethren. The ferny dull green and refined foliage develops after the flowers have blossomed. Amur Adonis goes dormant by summer; be certain to remember where you have sited it! Set Adonis amurensis ‘Flore-plena’ in humus-rich part to nearly full sun in humus rich woodland conditions.
