Convallaria majuscula 'Little's Mountain Giant' (syn. Convallaria montana) - 'Little's Mountain Giant' is a large-leaved selection of the American Lily-of-the-valley. Complete with the lovely and fragrant pristine white bells sometimes barely tinged with pink flowering in May / June Convallaria majuscula in non-aggressive. Its tendency is clumping and over time may gently colonize never swamping its neighbors in a green tsunami. Flowers may give way to reddish marbles containing seed in the late season. Salient culture will be in part shade to dappled light in fertile, moisture-retentive soil. 'Little's Mountain Giant' will tolerate clay and sand if mixed with humus, the fertility being key to success. This selection was made in Virginia though Convallaria majucscula hales from Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee, North Carolina and Georgia. As with its Eurasian cousin, Convallaria majalis, all parts of this lovely species are lovely poison. Established plant pot grown from division.
