Enkianthus campanulatus 'Compactus' - Dwarf growing form of the White Enkianthus. It's a beautiful shrub, long-lived in the right spot. Great fall color with a mix of reds and yellows. And those lovely white Japanese lantern flowers in spring are endearing. Very slow growing and perfect in the heath, acid rock garden (is this a new wave psychedelic band? Yes, please...) or as a rarefied component in a foundation border. Gorgeous among boulders on a slope. This is hard to find. Plants are not big but then they are very slow growing and, oh, so worthy. Fertile ground in a mix of sun and shade to dappled light. Established, potted starter shrub from cutting.
