Sempervivum 'Topaz' - A large growing waxy soft, muted yellow to citron-yellow Houseleek. Plant it among 'Grammens' or 'Pacific Red Rose' or S. arachnoideum 'Robin' or... well - any! and watch the colors contrast and pop. This is an eye-catcher and if it could speak it would mock Glenn Close in Fatal Attraction, "I will not be ignored". Now, I have to say there are on line pics of 'Topaz' that look nothing like the semp that came to us with that moniker. I can say that this plant has a definite yellow color base which does reflect the name and the gem, topaz. So, whether this is or is not the true 'Topaz' until we know otherwise with certainty we will continue to offer it under the moniker attached to it when we first received it many years ago. Full sun, of course, in average soil to an impoverished, gritty mix that drains well. In full summer sun an infusion reddish blush from the center outward will likely become evidenced. Established pot grown from "chicks".
