Sedum telephium 'Curmudgeon' - A dense, more dwarf Sedum telephium with subsp. ruprechtii 'Hab Gray' genes in the mix. We think there is some atropurpureum influence as well but with a dominance of subsp. ruprechtii 'Hab Gray'. Internodal stems measure about one quarter to three-eighths of an inch. Look at the comparison to other cultivars in the photos on the right. For us it has grown to be about 8 to 10 inches tall. It may grow taller in richer soil. Our original plant sprouted in full, blaring sun in impoverished, scrabbled soil. The color is an interesting brownish bronze with a touch of violet in the blend. The newest growth at the tips is light gray-green and quickly matures to the bronze shade. It will form a dense rounded dome. Established potted plant from cutting.
