Asarum canadense “white splashed” – This is a rare variegated form of Canadian Wild Ginger. Golden yellow irregular streaks and splashes emerge on new foliage. The irregular splotching matures to creamy white on the rounded leaves. It's a beautiful variegated plant on the floor of the woodland garden. Dark red / red-maroon flowers in spring. Site in dappled to open shade planted in fertile soil. Deer resistant. The species originates in North America, of course. Where "white splashed" may have been discovered, whether in the wild or not, we do not know. Pot grown division.
