Symplocos chinensis f. pilosa - This species of Sapphireberry was very similar in appearance to the better known Symplocos paniculata when Russell Stafford and I stumbled upon it at Arnold Arboretum. Gorgeous blue fruits cover the shrub in the middle-late to late season from lovely cream-white spring panicles. Yellow fall color may occur though it is a bonus when this happens. Seed grown. Bees and birds are drawn to it like magnets to each other.
